The International Circular Construction Cluster (ICCC) focuses on circular construction.
Circular construction adopts the principles of the circular economy for the life cycle of buildings and other infrastructure development, from the extraction of building materials, design, manufacturing, construction, operation/maintenance, to demolition and material recycling. The construction sector uses enormous amounts of natural resources, energy, and water to construct buildings and other infrastructure. It is also a major generator of waste. Making the construction industry more circular is a global challenge and responsibility.
