FACET - LAST MEETING

The FACET project concludes with a final meeting to evaluate the pilot testing of the "Creativity and Entrepreneurship in the Furniture Sector" course on the MOOC platform https://facet.erasmusplus.website/ and to report on the ongoing Transnational Meetings to validate and promote the course.

Due to COVID restrictions, the six project partners, representing six countries (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Czech Republic, Romania), will meet again online on April 19th to review the progress of the final project, validate the results before the project's closure (expected at the end of the month), and assess the course's use.

FACET's primary objective was to develop new and innovative training methods to further strengthen creativity and entrepreneurship in the furniture sector, both for initial and continuing education, including a specific module supporting learning that arises from the development of the design process. The training course aims to reverse the trend of creativity loss and improve the ability to generate new and better ideas, and to transform ideas into action to create new, real and valuable products, services, and business models.

The project therefore developed a free online course for students, professionals, and entrepreneurs, particularly in the furniture and interior design sector, but generally aimed at anyone interested in increasing their knowledge and skills in using creativity as a driver for innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.

The course consists of five modules and is accompanied by a work-based tool to support product, service, and communication design processes.

FACET also developed the training curriculum that underpins the course, the result of a needs analysis conducted among companies, professionals, and teachers in the six partner countries.
