The seminar adopts an interdisciplinary approach, actively involving students from various fields of study: Urban and Regional Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture and Design.
On Monday, May 5th, future professionals in urban planning, landscape, architecture, and design closely explored the dynamics and redevelopment potential of the industrial areas of the Val d'Elsa. This firsthand experience proved crucial to the seminar's interdisciplinary approach.
The initiative will continue with intensive design work by university students aimed at developing innovative and concrete concepts for the redevelopment of the industrial areas visited during the field trip. The aim is to imagine new functions and redevelopment strategies in line with the needs of the area and promote effective and sustainable urban redevelopment strategies.
This seminar represents an important opportunity for collaboration between the academic world and local authorities, focusing on crucial issues for sustainable development and urban regeneration in the Val d'Elsa area.
