Territorimpresa 2025 Festival: from site visits to concepts

On 5 May, a redevelopment project was launched for the urban areas of Valdelsa, involving students from the Department of Architecture (DIDA) at the University of Florence.
In collaboration with the municipalities of Poggibonsi, San Gimignano, Colle di Val d'Elsa and Monteriggioni, students of Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture and Design had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the realities of the industrial areas of Valdelsa, closely observing the challenges and potential opportunities.
This experience, crucial for an interdisciplinary and practical approach, laid the foundations for a design activity aimed at creating innovative concepts.
The students' commitment and creativity will be presented to the public during the thematic seminar “Valorisation of Industrial Areas: the contribution of design disciplines”, to be held on 17 September 2025 at 3 p.m. in the Sala Set of the Politeama Theatre in Poggibonsi.
The event represents the culmination of a highly valuable design project. During the meeting, the final concepts developed by the students will be presented, the result of in-depth analysis and intense design work. The ideas proposed aim to offer concrete solutions for the redevelopment and revitalisation of industrial areas, transforming them from simple production spaces into centres of innovation and development for the community.
The meeting is open to all interested parties, from professionals in the sector to citizens who wish to discover how the disciplines of design can contribute significantly to the future of our territory.
