NEW EUROPEAN BAUHAUS - PRIZES
Apply now for the 2022 New European Bauhaus Awards!
Following the success of the first awards, which received over 2,000 applications last year, the 2022 edition will celebrate inspiring new examples of the transformations we want to see in our daily lives, living spaces, and experiences. Categories and themes: As in the first edition, the 2022 New European Bauhaus Awards will recognize the ideas of young talents as well as existing projects for sustainability, inclusivity, and aesthetics, bringing the European Green Deal to people and local communities.
The prizes will be awarded in four categories:
- reconnecting with nature;
- rediscovering a sense of belonging;
- prioritizing the places and people who need it most; - shaping the circular industrial ecosystem and supporting this way of thinking.
The categories reflect the initiative's four transformational axes and were identified during the co-design phase, with the participation of thousands of individuals and organizations who contributed their opinions and experiences.
In each category, there are two parallel competition strands:
- The "New European Bauhaus Awards" for projects completed in the last two years;
- The "New Rising Stars of the European Bauhaus" for concepts or ideas submitted by young creators.
In addition to the 16 prizes awarded by the jury (one winner and one runner-up for each category and strand), two additional prizes will be selected by public vote from the top-place winners. A total of 18 winners will receive a cash prize of up to €30,000, as well as a communication package to help them further develop and promote their initiatives.
Application deadline: Applications are open until February 28, 2022, at 7:00 PM CET.
Applicants of all nationalities and backgrounds are welcome, provided their concepts, ideas, and projects are developed or physically located in the EU.
